Self-confidence is a positive attitude that can make a person confident in an action he takes without hesitation. Every self-confidence is needed by everyone including one of them in children with special needs who are blind. The focus of the problems studied in this thesis are: 1) How is the process of increasing the self-confidence of blind students at SDLB Negeri Pembin Aceh Tamiang? 2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing the self-confidence of students at SDLB Negeri Pembin Aceh Tamiang? The purpose of this study is to find out the process of increasing the self-confidence of blind students in SDLB is: 1) For blind students at SDLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang. 2) To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing the confidence of blind students at SDLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang.To identify these problems, researchers use qualitative research methods with descriptive research types. In the data collection method using interview techniques, moderate participatory observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses various data collection techniques (triagulation), and is carried out continuously until the data is saturated. From the results of this study obtained the conclusion that: 1) The process of increasing the self-confidence of blind students at SDLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang is with the right learning strategy according to their abilities, getting used to telling stories before learning begins, providing motivation and support, including in competitions according to their fields, providing direction and guidance. In this process, blind students have a good self-confidence attitude. 2) Supporting factors in increasing the confidence of blind students at SDLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang include internal factors and external actors; inhibiting factors in increasing the confidence of blind students at SDLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang are the surrounding environment.
