Abstract

Educational administration plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of the education system in schools. Good administrative management includes records management, student administration, and curriculum implementation. SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang faces challenges in administrative management, such as limited experts, lack of archive digitisation, and adaptation to curriculum changes. This research aims to analyse the school's administration system, identify obstacles, and formulate improvement strategies. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the administration at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang has been running well, especially in student data collection and extracurricular management. However, there are still obstacles in archive management and adaptation of the new curriculum. Recommended strategies include digitisation of archives, training of administrative staff, and optimisation of coordination between educators and students. With these improvements, it is expected that administrative management at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang will be more effective and contribute to improving the quality of education.
