Abstract

This thesis was written with the aim of knowing the development of executive abilities in children aged 5-6 years in center activities at RA Al-Muttaqin, Tasikmalaya City. The background of this research begins with the researcher's interest in executive abilities in the center learning model at RA Al-Muttaqin as well as the results of initial observations in the field that indicate variations in the development of children's executive function abilities. In line with that, the researcher intends to explore the development of executive abilities in center learning at RA Al-Muttaqin. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, the instrument used is an observation sheet to collect data. The aspects assessed include Inhibitory Control, where the results show that the Inhibitory Control aspect in all centers is categorized as good by obtaining the BSHB predicate in the role-playing center, blocks, imtak and natural materials centers received BSH in the preparation center. The highest score for students' executive function abilities in the Inhibitory Control aspect appeared in the natural materials center with a score of 3.64 at a percentage of 91%. The score categorizes the Inhibitory Control aspect in the BSB category (very well developed), while the lowest score for the Inhibitory Control aspect is in the preparation center with a total score of 2.92 at a percentage of 73%, thus getting the BSH category (developed as expected).
