Religious literacy is an important ability that needs to be developed in children from an early age, especially at the elementary school (SD) level. Religious literacy does not only refer to the ability to read and write religious texts, but also to understanding and practicing religious values in everyday life. Instilling religious literacy from an early age plays an important role in forming the character of children who have noble character, have empathy, and are able to live their lives in accordance with religious teachings. However, increasing religious literacy in elementary school children often faces various challenges, such as limited attractive methods and limited supporting resources.
This article aims to explore various creative strategies that are effective in increasing religious literacy in elementary school children. Several innovative approaches that can be applied include the use of story and drama methods to convey inspiring stories in religion.
