Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary school level has a strategic role in forming the character of students who are faithful, devout and have noble character. In implementing the Independent Curriculum, the integrity of PAI material is an important aspect that determines the success of learning. This article examines how the integrity of PAI material can be maintained, adapted and optimized within the Independent Curriculum framework, which emphasizes learning, differentiation and relevance. This curriculum gives teachers the freedom to develop contextual learning, but also demands consistency in conveying the core values of Islamic teachings.Through a project-based and cross-subject approach, PAI in the Merdeka Curriculum is designed to not only teach religious knowledge, but also internalize Islamic values in students' lives. This research found that synchronization provides opportunities for innovation, but also raises challenges, such as the teacher's ability to align material with student needs without reducing the substance of the teaching. In addition, there is alignment in resources, evaluation methods, and teacher training that can influence implementation success. This article concludes that the integrity of PAI material can be maintained through aligning learning outcomes with the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, strengthening teacher capacity, and using technology as a learning medium. To optimize the role of PAI in the Independent Curriculum, collaboration is needed between schools, families and communities in forming students who are not only academically superior, but also strong in their morals and spirituality.
