The recurring incidents of SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup) conflicts reveal the fragility of social cohesion in a culturally diverse nation. Multicultural education has emerged as a strategy to foster tolerance, social harmony, and inclusivity; however, its implementation often remains normative and detached from local cultural contexts. Ethnopedagogy, which emphasizes local wisdom and cultural values, offers a contextualized framework to strengthen multicultural education. By integrating moral, social, and spiritual values rooted in local culture into learning processes, students can better understand their own cultural heritage and develop respect for other cultures. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach, reviewing literature from relevant sources to provide a conceptual framework for integrating ethnopedagogy into multicultural education. The findings suggest that ethnopedagogical values can enrich educational experiences, enhance character formation, prevent cultural conflicts, and promote a culturally grounded understanding of diversity.
Muhammad Rifqi, Ahmad Arwani Haddady Copyright (c) 2025 Elementary Pedagogy https://jurnal.stkip-majenang.ac.id/index.php/pedagogia/article/view/334 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Filsafat Pendidikan Islam: Sekularisasi Ilmu Pengetahuan Naquib Alatas https://jurnal.stkip-majenang.ac.id/index.php/pedagogia/article/view/374
This article discusses the concept of the secularization of science from the perspective of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. Secularization is not understood merely as an institutional separation between religion and science, but rather as an epistemological process that changes the very nature of science itself. In al-Attas' view, secularization works by removing revelation, manners, and the purpose of worship from the structure of science, so that science loses its orientation towards truth (al-Haqq) and is directed towards the pragmatic interests of humans. This article uses a philosophical-critical approach by examining the concepts of humanity, knowledge, epistemology, and education in Islam, as well as examining the impact of secularization on modern science and education. The results of the study show that the secularization of knowledge is rooted in Western epistemology, which rejects revelation and makes doubt a method. As a solution, al-Attas offers the concept of Islamization of knowledge to return knowledge to its true purpose, namely the formation of civilized human beings.
Syarifah Naila, Kholili Hasib Copyright (c) 2025 Elementary Pedagogy https://jurnal.stkip-majenang.ac.id/index.php/pedagogia/article/view/374 Tue, 20 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Pembiasaan Membaca Al-Qur’an Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Siswa Kelas V di SD 188 Simangambat https://jurnal.stkip-majenang.ac.id/index.php/pedagogia/article/view/377
This study aims to examine the influence of the habit of reading the Qur'an on the learning achievement of fifth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SD 188 Simangambat. The habit of reading the Qur'an is considered a routine religious practice that can influence students' faith, discipline, and religious attention in following PAI lessons. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design; the population is all fifth-grade students, and the sample is taken through a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments are in the form of a questionnaire on the habit of reading the Qur'an and documentation of PAI scores as a measure of learning achievement; the instruments are tested for validity and reliability before use. Data analysis is carried out through descriptive statistics, Pearson or Spearman correlation tests, and simple regression analysis to determine the strength and direction of the influence of the habit of reading the Qur'an on PAI learning achievement. The results of the study indicate a positive and significant influence between the habit of reading the Qur'an on the PAI learning achievement of fifth-grade students at SD 188 Simangambat, although the contribution of the habit variable is still relatively small. Based on these findings, it is recommended that schools and teachers facilitate and encourage the habit of reading the Qur'an consistently as part of the school's religious program
Nurul Aini Copyright (c) 2025 Elementary Pedagogy https://jurnal.stkip-majenang.ac.id/index.php/pedagogia/article/view/377 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000
